Behind LiveWell
We talk to you like an adult and use the hour for something useful.
You should feel comfortable saying what's actually going on. That's how we figure out what'll actually help.
Nobody's breathing down our necks telling us to rush appointments or push whatever makes the most money. We get to do what's actually right for the person sitting in front of us.
— Ragnar

Built for people, not paperwork
We talk to you like an adult and use the hour for something useful.
LiveWell started with a pretty simple idea, founded by Ragnar Scott, a psychiatric nurse practitioner who wasn't building this for insurance companies or giant systems. It was built for people. Whether you're 15 or 55, you deserve care that actually helps, from people who actually listen. Kept small on purpose, so it never feels like you're just a chart in a stack.

Built for people, not paperwork
LiveWell started with a pretty simple idea: care should feel human, not clinical. Founded by Ragnar Scott, a psychiatric nurse practitioner who's been through his own share of life's highs and lows, LiveWell wasn't built for insurance companies or giant systems. It was built for people. Whether you're 15 or 55, you deserve care that actually helps, from people who actually listen.
We keep the team small on purpose so it never feels like you're just a chart. Patients get to know their providers, and their providers get to know them; not just their symptoms, but their story. You'll know us, we'll know you, and that connection is the point.
How we're set up
- Small on purposeKept that way on purpose so it never feels like you're just a chart in a stack.
- We take insuranceMost major plans now, so getting real psychiatric care doesn't mean paying full price out of pocket for every visit.
- Fully independentNo corporate ownership, no VC board setting priorities. The only thing running this is the standard of care.

We add good clinicians when we find the right ones, PMHNPs and therapists who are independent, plain-spoken, and allergic to refill-mill medicine.

Who we keep a soft spot for
We've got a soft spot for first responders, healthcare workers, veterans, and college students trying to figure themselves out, and generally just all the folks out there who are carrying more than they're given credit for. We get that.
We take most major insurance these days, so you can actually put your benefits to work instead of paying full freight for every visit. Availability is limited, but we're not trying to treat the masses. We're staying small enough to know the people we treat.
The founder
- RagnarDNP, PMHNP-BC. Psychiatric nurse practitioner. Built this so people can get real help, not corporate care.
- Why LiveWell existsHe couldn't find anywhere that kept care direct and simple, so he started it.
A word from Ragnar
Around here, we don't do BDE (big doc energy). We like to keep things down to earth and real. No nonsense, no jumping through hoops, no stiff medical vibe… just real conversations with real people. We couldn't find anywhere that kept care direct and simple, so we started LiveWell.
Most people who come to us are dealing with way more than one thing. It's the brain fog, the burnout, the anxiety creeping in when you're already maxed out. Maybe your focus is shot, your mood's all over the place, your hormones feel like they're plotting against you, or you're just tired of looking in the mirror and feeling like a stranger. Whatever's going on, we get into it.
LiveWell is about pulling all of it together so you actually feel like yourself again. Not perfect, not magically fixed, just more in control of your own day.
